Me
Damla Atik Alpay (b. 1987, Adana) is a visual artist who presents her artistic practice through a multidisciplinary approach. She graduated from the Interior Architecture Department of International Cyprus University in 2010 and continues her professional career in the public sector in Türkiye.
Alongside her professional life, Alpay has developed a visual language centered on emotion, memory and the inner complexity of human experience. Her works often take the form of portraits, using color, expression and composition to explore the contrast between outward appearance and inner emotional states.
Her approach to art is strongly influenced by Leo Tolstoy’s understanding of art as the transmission of emotion from one person to another, a perspective that has had a lasting and profound impact on her artistic thinking.
She has participated in several group and solo exhibitions.
Through her ongoing artistic practice, Damla Atik Alpay continues to create visual works that question appearance, reveal hidden emotions and explore the fragile distance between what is seen and what is truly felt.
